Description:
The Odessa Meteor Crater is the second largest of its type in the nation, stretching over 550 feet wide and originally 100 feet deep. It was formed by a shower of nickel-iron meteorites. The nearby museum has information regarding meteorites, the crater and historical videos.
Hours of Operation:
Museum open Sat., 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.; Sun., 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. Self-guided tours daily, sunrise - sunset.
